Finally Finished

My goal to make as many cards as possible from one 6x6 collection pack is finally finished.  I had already used a couple sheets, so it is possible that I could have made 3 or 4 more.  My final total is 43.  I used some scraps left over from other projects.  I also used other cardstock for the bases.

Stars & Stamps/OWH Sketch 222

This is the card challenge at Stars & Stamps this week.  I'm still working on that Bo Bunny collection.  I hope to finish up today or tomorrow.  This one is card number 23 and was a pretty easy one.   Kraft for the base, Recollections for the black layer, Bo Bunny for the dp, Bazzill for the slant piece.  The bling is from KaiserCraft.

OWH Midweek Throwdown

The midweek challenge at Operation Write Home is to use brown.  I am still working on the Bo Bunny Camp-a-Lot 6x6 pad.  I made this card using the brown logs, kraft base and layers.

Stars and Stamps (OWH) Sketch 221

Using some of the paper from the Bo Bunny 6x6 pad that I have been using up, I made this card for the OWH weekly challenge on Stars and Stripes.  The images are also from the Bo Bunny collection.

DS4J Challenge #90 Easter or Spring

Morning Peeps!  It's Wednesday and time for the mid-challenge at DS4J.  This challenge is hosted by Alex.  You have until the 29th to enter this challenge.  It is an easy one for this time of year - Easter or Spring.  I chose to do Easter and use this image called The Empty Cross.  You can find this and a lot of other digis at the online store here.

I used another panel that I had embossed some time ago.  I used Antique Linen distress ink to rub over the embossed parts. The image is colored with Copics.  The twine is from We Are Memory Keepers.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Say It With Words #2

Here is the second card made from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Camp-a-Lot Collection.  For details on what I am doing, see the first blog in this series.  It is labeled Say It With Words #1.

Again, I am entering this in Dream Valley Challenges for their Say It With Words Challenge.

Say It With Words #1

Say It With Words is the theme for the challenge at Dream Valley Challenges.  I have been making cards using one 6x6 paper pad from Bo Bunny.  I had purchased this pad about a year and a half ago for a special project.  I used a couple sheets and it went in the stack of pads.  The other day, I came across a blog on Operation Write  Home, by Kristie Marcotte that used one pack of 6x6 paper and made at least 25 cards.  Of course, extra paper is needed for the card bases and layering.  So far, I have made 10 cards from my pack and there is enough paper to make at least that many more.  I am going to keep at it until all the cards are done and the pack is finished.  I will post a picture of all of the cards at that time.

Here is the first card:

And the pack it came from:

For the card base and layers, I used Recollections Kraft paper.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of white scrap from my stash.  I'm not sure where the stamp came from.  I've had it for a long time and don't save the packaging.

Stay tuned for more cards as I get them made.

I am entering this card in this challenge:  http://dreamvalleychallenges.blogspot.com/ (words).

DS4J Sunday Release

DigiStamps4Joy has release some new digis.  Hop on over to the online shop and see them all.  They are really great.  I chose to use Sailboat for my card.

I printed out the background paper from Scrapflair.  The blue layers are Recollections.  The boat is colored with Copics and cut with the print and cut feature on the Silhouette.  I mounted the boat with foam tape and added the sentiment by Technique Tuesday.

My First Attempt

I finally bit the bullet,  jumped on the band wagon and made a box card.  It was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be.  I cut the image with my Cameo.  I used a piece of yellow SU cardstock for the box and added a sheet of old Bo Bunny paper that I had.  The other pieces are scraps from my scrap bin.

One Sheet Wonder Cards

Using a 12x12 sheet of dp that I would never use in a scrapbook page, I was able to cut pieces to make eight of these One Sheet Wonder cards.  That is a bit of a misnomer because you need other paper for the card bases and trims/embellishments but all of the dp is cut from one sheet.  These I cut 5.5 inches by 3 inches. There was just a little strip of paper left, but it went into the recycle bin.  I used Stampin' Up paper for the bases, Bazzill for the trim and sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I popped the sentiment panel with foam tape.  The sentiment panel was cut with Spellbinders/Xyron die Frame 2.  I'm going to try more of the OSW cards.  There are several examples online.  I just googled it.

OWH Sketch #220 Card Challenge

Operation Write Home has posted their 220th sketch challenge.  It hardly seems like that number could be that high.  This was a little more of a challenge than usual because there were no measurements listed on the sketch.  I made a couple before I got the hang of it.  I used only scraps for this project.  I'm whittling down my scrap file.

Cora's Challenge on OWH

Cora challenged cardmakers to make a card  using this Hero Arts Year Round stamp set.  It is one of my go to sets when I need a nice sentiment.  Hero Arts donates 25% of the profits from the sale of this set to Operation Write Home, an organization dedicated to helping the military keep in touch with the folks back home.  If you go to the Hero Arts website, it is #CL582.

I made this masculine card.

DS4J Challenge 89 - Wings

Morning Peeps.  It's time for the midweek challenge post at DS4J  This challenge is hosted by Sharon.  She has asked for a project using wings. My thought was that everybody would use birds or butterflies so I wanted something different.  I used one of the stamps from the Wings of Love set and the 100 Hearts sentiment.  You can find the digis here.  I saw this sketch at My Favorite Things. and wanted to use it.  I used the Cut and Paste feature on my Cameo for the image and offset it just a tad.  I used Wink of Stella glitter pens to color the image.  The paper is from a 6.5x6.5 pad by KaiserCraft called Memories.  Cardstock is from Recollections.  Bling by Want2Scrap and colored with Copics to match the red paper.

Same Image, different look

I used the Christmas Robin from DS4J to make this card.  I used the same basic sketch, but moved the image and bling around.  I like it just as much as the first, if not better.  The same stamp from Hero Arts, but no ribbon.  Instead of the ribbon, I used a piece of scrap from the first card.  As usual, I used Copic markers to color the image and the bling.  I used foam tape to pop the image.

This card will be my second for Lady Anne's April Christmas challenge.

Sunday Release - DS4J - April 6

It's Sunday again and time for a sneak peak at the new releases at DigiStamps4Joy.  I am using Ayanna.  You can find this digi and the rest of this week's new releases at the online store here

I colored the image with Copic markers.  The card is from a file from the Silhouette store and cut with my Cameo.  I backed the front of the card with a piece of pink Bazzill embossed cardstock.  The bling was from Want2Scrap and colored with Copic Markers to match the background.  The sentiment is left over from a decoupage set by Fynmark.

Another OWH Midweek Throwdown Card for Father's Day

I have been having fun playing with my Cameo and making cards using the files.  OWH has a Father's Day theme for their Midweek Throwdown.   I used this file from Silhouette and created this very simple card for Dad.  It can be used for Father's Day or just to send a note to Dad.  The cardstock is all Recollections.  The doodles are from a set from Stampendous.

OWH Midweek Throwdown

The Midweek Throwdown challenge this week at OWH is to make a Father's Day card.   It's kind of hard to be thinking of Father's Day when it is not even Easter yet.  But, I looked through the files I have saved for my Cameo and picked this image.  I used American Craft cardstock, WRMK twine, The Twinery Twine, Queen & Co. bling and Recollections cardstock for the card base.
